'Putting in the hard yards' has never been a problem for Katy Laidlaw who freely admits to workaholic tendencies. She has always worked in customer service - cinema, hospitality, administration, bank teller and PA, in real estate as a buyers' agent.

While working as an administrator for Eves she saw the opportunity for a career which would reward her for hard work and give her the opportunity to progress financially and develop personally. Eves was always the choice. Her parents-in-law, who have worked as salespeople for Eves over twenty years, encouraged her to become part of the property management team. Katy owns a rental property and her parents have two, so she has grown up in a landlord environment.

Katy thrives on working with a large experienced team with lots of resources and knowledge to draw on. She manages a cross section of properties in her coastal and urban patch. "No property is too large or too small," says this high achiever who never puts off what she can do today. She prides herself on being an excellent communicator, thorough in every aspect of her role and firm but fair in all her dealings with the wide range of people who benefit from her positive attitude and willingness to work hard.

Katy is Welsh but moved to New Zealand with her family when she was fifteen years old. "I loved new Zealand so much I married a Kiwi!" says this mother of three young Kiwis.

Katy is a goal setter in her personal life, having no trouble juggling family and work commitments and her running training.
